Gugulethu Mbatha (better called Gugu-Mbatha-Raw) is an British film and stage actress that became popular when she was a part of the BBC series "Doctor Who", the British science-fiction TV series. Chelsea Joy Handler was born on the 25th of February 75th, 1975, in Livingston, New Jersey. She was the eldest child in a large family. Handler was the daughter of a car salesman as well as a domestic worker. Her mother came to the United States in 1958, as an immigrant from Germany. Breast cancer was discovered in the year 1989. Her death came a decade later after fighting cancer. Handler was raised Reform Judaism by her father, who was Jewish. Handler was blessed with a joyful and healthy life living in a posh neighborhood. She was just 19 when she decided to move into Los Angeles and pursue acting. Handler was obliged to be an actress to survive. When she turned 21 years old, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy full time, as she was able to discover her storytelling talents. The beginning of her career Handler started out her profession as part of the Oxygen network all-female cast for the hidden camera/comedy reality television series Girls Behaving Badly. From 2002 to 2005, the show aired. Handler then started appearing in other programs such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler worked on The Tonight Show for a time as a reporter. Handler got her first major break in the form of hosting her own E! Show in 2006. It was titled The Chelsea Handler Series. The Chelsea Handler Show ran for two years. Handler then performed in America in the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO have aired her stand-up comedy performance. Her name was chosen as host of the MTV's 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. She became only the second female host of the VMAs following Roseanne Bar.
