Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actress and producer. She has been recognized for her outstanding performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, like an Oscar for her role in the film Piano. The path to acting began with Broadway by performing in a range of Broadway as well as Off Broadway projects. She has had a passion for acting from the time she started school. The first time she appeared in a show in the fifth grade was in Helen Keller. She became deaf in one ear after suffering from mumps but did not let this disability dampen her determination to become an actress. While in college, she took classes in theatre as well as later moving from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her goal. She ran into Beth Henley in an elevator and they collaborated to make Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. When she moved into Los Angeles, Hunter tried to find film roles. The role of a supporting actress was found for her in Swing Shift. Over the past three decades, since then she has appeared in many films, television movies and series. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
