Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actor and producer. She has been recognized for her stellar roles in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, like an Oscar for the film Piano. In her early years she began performing on stage in several Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. Since the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play in fifth grade. The mumps that she contracted left her deaf and blind in one ear, but she did not allow this hinder her progress as an actress. When she was a teenager she studied drama, and eventually moved to New York City. Hunter was able to make her Broadway debut after an accidental conversation in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. Together, they wrote on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. Her first role in film came when she moved from Los Angeles. For the past 30 years Holly Hunter has been on many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
